Why the Lab exists
Investment education often concentrates on information: what to study, which numbers to calculate, and how to interpret markets. Those skills matter. But intelligent investors can still make poor decisions when fear, greed, urgency, anchoring, or ego quietly changes how information is used.
Investor Cognition Lab focuses on that gap. Our goal is to help readers observe their own decision process, make assumptions testable, and review choices without allowing one outcome to rewrite the past.
How content is developed
Each field guide begins with a specific investor decision problem. We consult relevant primary or established research, translate the finding into plain language, and design a short practice connected to an observable behavior.
Before publication, content is reviewed for clarity, source alignment, internal consistency, and the limits of the claim. Sources and further reading appear on each guide. We do not present a psychological exercise as a guarantee of investment performance.
Editorial principles
- People before algorithms. Content should answer a real question clearly before it serves a search engine or AI system.
- Process before prediction. We teach repeatable decision practices, not stock picks, price targets, or market forecasts.
- Evidence with boundaries. We distinguish research findings from our practical interpretation and avoid claims stronger than the evidence.
- Visible revision. Guides display an updated date. Material corrections or changed conclusions are incorporated promptly.
- Independence. Editorial content is not sold placement. Any future sponsorship or affiliate relationship will be disclosed where it appears.
