Investor Cognition Lab respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you when you use this website or subscribe to our emails.
1. Who we are
This website and its educational content are operated by Investor Cognition Lab in Taiwan. For privacy questions or requests, contact ICL@verbatec.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you subscribe to the 7-Day Investor Decision Training Challenge, we collect the email address and any other information you voluntarily enter in the subscription form. The form is provided by Kit.
Analytics information
Google Analytics is disabled by default. If you select “Allow analytics,” Google Analytics may collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser information, referral source, session activity, and identifiers stored in analytics cookies. We do not intentionally send your name, email address, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.
Technical information
Our hosting and security providers may automatically process basic request data such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, and error or security logs to deliver, protect, and maintain the website.
3. How we use information
- To deliver the email challenge and related educational messages you requested.
- To manage subscriptions, prevent abuse, and respond to questions.
- With your permission, to understand site usage and improve the website and its content.
- To maintain security, troubleshoot problems, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal basis and your consent
We process subscription information to provide the service you request and on the basis of your consent. Analytics runs only after you affirmatively allow it. You may decline analytics without losing access to the website, change your analytics choice through “Analytics settings” in the footer, and withdraw from marketing emails at any time.
5. Service providers and international processing
We use third-party providers to operate this service, including Kit for email forms and delivery, Google Analytics for consented measurement, and OpenAI/ChatGPT Sites and its infrastructure providers for website hosting. These providers may process information in countries outside Taiwan under their own privacy and security terms. We share only the information reasonably necessary for them to provide their services.
6. Cookies and analytics choices
We do not load the Google Analytics tag until you allow analytics. If allowed, Google Analytics may set cookies, including a client identifier used to distinguish visits. Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. Declining on your first visit prevents this site from loading Google Analytics; withdrawing permission later disables further measurement on that page and on future visits. You can reopen the preference panel from the footer at any time.
7. Retention
We retain subscription information while you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward where needed for suppression records, security, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. Analytics retention is controlled through our Google Analytics settings. Technical logs are retained only as long as reasonably required for operations and security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or receive information about your personal data, or object to or restrict certain uses. You may unsubscribe through the link in any email. To make a request, email ICL@verbatec.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
10. Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date above shows when the latest version took effect. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or email where appropriate.
